From(發(fā)信人):__________
Subject(事由):____________________

in ancient times, transportation was very inconvenient. that’s why the attendants of lady yang yuhuan had to spend several days bringing her favorite litchi from the south to xi’an. now, however, it only takes two or three hours for delivery by plane. modern transportation seems to have shortened the distance.
owing to the convenience of modern transportation, people make contact with each other more frequently. they no longer regard a foreigner on the street as a monster. besides, people of different nationalities are getting to know and understand each other better.
to sum up, with more and more advanced means of transportation, and more and more frequent contact among distant people, the world tends to be like one big family. no wonder that most of us feel that the world is getting smaller and smaller.
Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30minutes to write a composition on the topicSecondhand Goods. You should write at least 150words, and base your composition on the outline(given in Chinese) below:
1)目前購買二手貨的人越來越多
2)分析產生這一現(xiàn)象的原因
3)二手貨交易可能帶來的問題
Secondhand Goods
In recent years, second-hand transactions have become quite common. Nowadays there aremore and more secondhand goods in the market, such as secondhand books, furniture, appliances, cars, and so on. Why do so many people like to buy secondhand goods?
The following reasons can account for this phenomenon. Above all, secondhand goods arecheaper than new ones. This enables those people who have poor financial abilities to buy thethings they want. Moreover, secondhand goods transactions make it possible for people tomake good use of the goods which may be useless in their hands. Besides, Internet provides amore convenient and quicker transaction platform for secondhand goods.
However, there are also some problems in secondhand goods transactions. For one thing, the quality of secondhand goods can not be promised and you can not enjoy the good after-sale service. For another, secondhand goods market lacks enough supervision andmanagement, and there exist many dishonest business activities. In a word, I think secondhandgoods transaction is a good trading way, but it needs further perfection of the rules.
it was my first day at school. i walked into the building where i was going to live ,and looked at door after door for my name. at last i found it. in the room there was already a student making his bed.
after we said"hello"to each other, he continued his work, paying no attention to me."what a stuck-up fellow,"i thought. i examined the room. it was not different in the fittings and furnishings from any other room i had seen. but it had been thoroughly cleaned by my new roommate, no doubt.
i looked at him. he was thin, short, and dark. his hair was like a bundle of straw. his dirty clothes and tired look were clearly signs of a long journey . his clothes were made of cheap cloth. the coat was too short and the trousers were too loose. and he wore a pair of rubber shoes , which were very unfashionable. he did not look like a smart senior student at all . "a yokel ,"i concluded.
Nowadays many college graduates set up their own companies with the fund from the government, which is part of the plans to help graduates to get employed. If graduates can put forward a creative and original plan, they will get the financial aid from the government. Our government is paying increasing attention to this program.
There are many reasons responsible for this program. It is intended to stimulate college graduates creativity and relieve their pressure of employment. First, there has been an expansion in universities and colleges. As a result, the rate of unemployment is on the rise in recent years because of the competitive job market. Second, some graduate employees are not satisfied with their present jobs and their enthusiasm for work has been frustrated, so they can t exhaust their potentials. Third, some brilliant and ambitious graduates are confronted with a shortage of start-up capital, so they find it hard to apply what they learn to practice, no matter how good their idea sounds.
As far as I m concerned, the program will not only offer opportunities to graduates but also bring back their confidence in themselves and in the future. An increasing number of graduates will benefit from this program. What is more, the development of each graduate will surely promote the development of the whole society in the long run.
Now the 26th Centennial World Olympic Games are in full swing in Altanda. The Olympic flame is burning red and bright in the torch at the center of the Olympic square. Earlier before the official opening of the games it had been relayed one by one through the hands of runners, among them, students supported by the Chinese hope project. Thousands of people lined the struts to watch the relay.
The relay of the Olympic Flame is the symbol of the continuity between the ancient and modern Games. During the ancient Olympics a sacred flame burned at the altar of Zeus. A modern version of the flame was adopted for the Berlin Games in 1936, and the tradition has been observed ever since. The torch used to kindle the flame is first lit by the sun's rays at Olympia in Greece, and then carried to the site of the Games by relays of runners.Ships and planes are used when necessary.
The runners are specially chosen, All of them are hard working and as a result become overacbievers. The flame kindles the fire in everyone's heart to encourage people to go on and on and bring the Olympic spirit into full play.

This bar chart shows us the distribution of awarded degrees among five different fields of study in 20xx.
We can see that the distribution of bachelor's degrees in the fields of social science, education, natural sciences, humanities, business, and accounting is, more or less, even. However, when it comes to Masters and Doctorates, a very large proportion goes to the field of education and natural sciences respectively. What is worse, the humanities have the smaller or smallest number of graduates. Take the Masters for example, humanities has only ten percent of the total number of degrees, which is the smallest portion.
Why is there such an uneven distribution of degrees when it comes to Masters or Doctorates. In other words, why do more students choose education for their Master's degree and the natural sciences for their Doctorate's degrees? The answer, I think, lies in the fact that it is easier to find jobs after graduation if they pursue these two degrees. A Master in education, for instance, may find it easier to find a teaching post, possibly, in a college or, certainly, in a high school. Astudent with a Doctorate degree in the natural sciences may find it easier to hold a position either in a research institute, a college, or a large company
Many mothers are annoyed by their children’s behaviors before they can understand the mothers’ idea. Babies’ way of thought is different from the adults’, and most of them are in the situation of out of side, and out of mind. If people can better understand the kid’s recognition, then they will have their own ways to educate.
Though the kids are very small and they even can’t talk, they are smart actually. They know how to judge whether what they do is acceptable or not. For example, when mother cooks food for the baby and the baby refuses to eat. After trying to feed the baby many times, finally the mother gets angry and walks away, then the baby will perceive the mother’s unhappy emotion and realizes his wrong behavior.
People always say that kids are knowing nothing, so their wrong behaviors can be forgiven all the time. It seems that being innocent can be out of taking responsibility. This is ridiculous. Everyone should be responsible for what they do. If the kids are wrong, the parents need to educate them immediate, so as to help them to be a better person.
