2015考研英語詞匯 “AS”的用法

一、介詞
（一）好像：
They enteredthe building disguised as cleaners.
他們化裝成清潔工人的模樣進(jìn)入了大樓。
（二） 作為，當(dāng)作：
I am tempted to define “journalism” as a term of contempt.
我禁不住將新聞業(yè)定義為一個(gè)蔑視的稱謂。
（be temptedto 直譯為“被誘惑”，但是用I 做主語的時(shí)候最好轉(zhuǎn)譯為：禁不住，愿意，會(huì)等）
He has elected the activity of thinking as his primary duty.
他已經(jīng)選擇了思考的行為作為他主要的責(zé)任
（ elect = choose）
His reputation as a music critic has long been in dispute.
他作為音樂評(píng)論家的聲譽(yù)一直飽受爭(zhēng)議。
二、副詞
（一）
1.As（副詞）+形容詞或副詞+as（介詞）+名詞 （構(gòu)成比較結(jié)構(gòu)）
The dress is twice as expesive as that one.
（倍數(shù)加在第一個(gè)as前）
I haven't known him as long as you.
= I haven't known him as long as you （have done）。
我認(rèn)識(shí)他的時(shí)間沒有你認(rèn)識(shí)他的時(shí)間久。
2.As（副詞）+ 形容詞或副詞+as （連詞）+句子（構(gòu)成比較結(jié)構(gòu)）
（1）He looks as ill as he sounded on the phone.
他的樣子和他在電話中說話的聲音所反映的病情是一樣的。
（2）His eyes aren't quite as blue as they lookin the film.
他的眼睛不像在電影里見到的那樣藍(lán)。
（3）IQ tests are not given as often as theyused to be.
智商測(cè)試不像以前那樣經(jīng)常被使用了。
（二）、As （副詞）：像，如，和…無不同。
As beforehe remained unmoved.
和過去一樣，他無動(dòng)于衷。
三、連詞
（一） 表時(shí)間
I watched her as she combed her hair.
她梳頭的時(shí)候我一直看著她
（二） 表原因（常放在句首）
As you weren't there I left a message.
因?yàn)槟悴辉谀抢铮伊袅藗�(gè)信兒。
（三）表示讓步 （常放在形容詞或者副詞后）
Simple as the picture is， the symbolic meaningbehind it is as deep as ocean.
盡管圖畫很簡(jiǎn)單，但是其背后的寓意卻非常深刻。
（四） 表示方式
They did as I had asked.
他們是按照我的要求做的。
四、關(guān)系代詞（在牛津詞典中還是歸結(jié)在連詞中，但是在理解的時(shí)候理解為代詞更容易，所以一直都用代詞詞性進(jìn)行講解）
As （關(guān)系代詞指代后面的句子） is shown above， +主句）
現(xiàn)在再來看這個(gè)句子：
Nor， if regularity and conformity to a standard pattern are as desirable to the scientist as the writing of his
papers would appear to reflect， is management to be blamed for discriminating against the“odd balls” among
researchers in favor of more conventional thinkers who work well with the team.
前半句中的as…as…就不再是比較結(jié)構(gòu)了，你識(shí)別出來了嗎？
這里第二個(gè)as是關(guān)系代詞，指代的是：regularity and conformity to a standard pattern；
調(diào)整一下語序就是：
If regularity and conformity to a standard pattern as the writing of scientist's papers
would appear to reflect are as desirable to him，
As desirable 中的as 為副詞（3），如…
如果，科學(xué)家的論文寫作中所反映出的對(duì)于標(biāo)準(zhǔn)模板的一致性和規(guī)則性，（如果，科學(xué)家的論文寫作中所反映出來的對(duì)于標(biāo)準(zhǔn)模板的遵從和一致，）正是他們所想要的話，那么…
后半句順便再說一下是個(gè)倒裝：
management is not to be blamed for discriminating against the “odd balls” among
researchers in favor of more conventional thinkers who work well with the team.
