酒店英語面試常見問題(二)
1.Tell me about yourself?
酒店面試官常常以這樣的問題開始。記住,他們想要聽到的是你的工作技巧,不是你的個人生活。不要說,"I was born in Taipei," "I like to play computer games,"或是"I have two brothers."告訴他們有關(guān)你職業(yè)生涯的發(fā)展,你學(xué)到的東西或是你是如何具備專業(yè)技能的。
2.What are your strengths?
繼續(xù),推銷你自己這個問題的'關(guān)鍵是給出具體的例子。避免只是簡單地列出幾項,如:"I’m really organized, punctual and get along well with others."接著具體闡述你剛才的提到的內(nèi)容,“For example …”并解釋你在之前的工作中是如何運用此特長的。
3.Why are you interested in working for our company?
雇主們想要知道你為什么想為他們工作。因此就讓他們了解你很清楚公司的運營模式以及你對此工作非常有積極性。不要以"Umm," "I don't know," "It seemed like a good career move," 或是"I haven't been able to find anything else interesting."開始。記住雇主們想知道你能帶給酒店什么,而不是酒店能帶給你什么。
4.Why did you leave your last job?
可能你上一份工作非常的糟糕,但是面試并不是談?wù)摰暮线m的場合。就算是真的,不要對你現(xiàn)有的或是過去的雇主或是同事進行負(fù)面還是武斷的評論:"I didn't agree with the company's direction," "I got no recognition for my work," "My boss was totally unreasonable."像這樣的評論會讓你聽起來不可理喻。
5.Do you have any questions for me?

1、 你喜歡和什么樣的人/經(jīng)理一起工作?
What kind of people/manager do you like to work with?
這個問題主要是看你能否融入這個團隊,同時,你喜歡一起工作的人通常往往是你本身性格的一個折射,意思就是你喜歡一起工作的人往往性格和你相似,所以這個時候面試人也想要知道你是如何看自己。如果你面試國際性的酒店,往往可以說I like working with people who are open-minded, active and easy-going(這只是一個例子),也可以按照自己的性格以及你面試的崗位回答。
2、 如果我酒店雇用你,你覺得可以為酒店帶來什么樣的貢獻(xiàn)?
What kind of value/contribution will you bring in if you join our hotel?
可以大膽談?wù)勛约旱膬?yōu)勢,尤其是根據(jù)自己的經(jīng)驗?梢哉f:If I get chance to join XXX hotel, I believe that my rich experiences in XXX(擅長的方面) can bring extra value to XXX hotel. Because/Since...(因為...談自己以前的經(jīng)歷). 這個問題的.關(guān)鍵是你能說出個一二來,而且面試官想要知道你是否知道自己的優(yōu)勢在哪。
3、How would you handle difficult or fussy customers?
你是如何應(yīng)對麻煩或者挑剔的客人的?
這個問題算是酒店面試最常見問題之一了。其實關(guān)于應(yīng)對挑剔麻煩的客人,你的回答可以遵循以下6個關(guān)鍵詞來組織自己的語言,然后還可以舉一個以前發(fā)生過的例子,來證明你指導(dǎo)如何應(yīng)對麻煩和挑剔的客人。
*Respect/尊重
*Empathy/同理心,站在客人的角度思考(I will put myself in the customer's shoes, and try to see the situation from his/her perspective)
*Listen/傾聽
*Identify the problem/找出問題
*Avoid blame/避免責(zé)備
*Resolve the problem/解決問題
4、Would you describe yourself as more of a leader or more of a follower?
你覺得自己是個領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者還是一個追隨者?
不要被問題給限制了。如果你說一個領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者,可能會暗示你不太遵守工作規(guī)則。如果你說追隨者,你看起來好像只知道服從,沒有什么雄心壯志。但是其實別擔(dān)心,只要解釋好就可以。這個問題沒有正確答案的,更加取決于你面試的職位,如果是一個領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者的職位,那你可以說自己想要成為一個領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者,更加顯示出你雄心壯志的一面,想要成長的一面。
5、If you were an animal, which one would you be?
如果你可以做一個動物,你想做哪個動物?
面試官其實想看你快速思考的能力。如果你說你想做兔子bunny,那你給人的印象大概是溫和soft、被動passive。如果你回答獅子lion,你大概比較aggressive。 這個問題的關(guān)鍵是看你想給面試官留下什么樣的印象了。

Work experience is the type of workyou've done in the past. If you haven't started working yet you can say"Right now I'm still a sstudent." or "I'm a recent grad andIhaven't started working yet." In the second sentence, "recentgrad" is short for "recent graduate" and means that you havejust finished school.

Second One:What's your greatest weakness?
This is apopular question that western employers like to ask to make candidates nervous!In fact, they ask this to know how you respond to a difficult question. Youshouldn't answer by telling your greatest weakness since you might not get thejob! Instead, you can tell them something that isn't directly related to thejob position.

Third One: Why do you feel you are qualified for this job?
This question is a good opportunity to brag a little bit. You should talk about some extraskills you have that maybe wasn't included in your resume, or talk about yourgreatest strength in more detail.
你為什么覺得自己勝任這份工作?這時候你要充分發(fā)揮你的“自夸”本領(lǐng)。你可以講述一些簡歷資料里面沒有包括的技能;或者是再詳細(xì)強調(diào)一下你的特長。
Fourth One: Whatkind of salary did you have in mind?
Salary is howmuch money you earn, usually per year. When asked this, it's best to answerwith a salary range or approximation and not an exact figure. This shows thatyou are familiar with the industry if you know what the approximate salaryshould be.

Fifth One: Ifhired, when could you start work?
When answeringthis it's best not to say you can start right away. This might make you seemvery desperate for a job. A safe answer would be "I can start at thebeginning of next month."
