WITH their decent (體面的) incomes and social status, the lives of white-collar workers are envied by many ordinary people. But their health condition, on the whole, is not good, a report says.
According to the “White Paper on the Health of Chinese White-Collar Workers,” published by the Chinese Medical Doctors Association, the Chinese Hospital Association, the Beijing Health Care Association, and the Ciming Checkup Group on December 6, high-income groups between the ages 35 and 50 are biologically (生物學(xué)上) ten years older than their actual age. Sixty percent are over-fatigued (過(guò)勞的) and 76 percent are in sub-health. Twenty percent feel lonely and 70 percent of them are unsatisfied and unhappy, the report said.
Huge work pressure is one of the major causes.

On the other hand, the recent spate of recall scandals of Japanese carsscared away their potential buyers in China. Besides,Japans right-wing views on its barbaric（野蠻的，肆無(wú)忌憚的）invasion of China led many young Clunese to Japanese cars.
Despite the lead, Chinese car makers, rather than being smug about the achievement,should redouble efforts in order to compete successfully with such auto giants as GM,Toyota andVolkswagen in the global market.
