There is a little ditch in my hometown. The gutter was clear enough to see the rock below. Sometimes there are fish in the ditch.
But one day, there was more food in the shops, and a great variety of new foods came rolling in. The children all went to buy, even the adults often visited, bought two or three. Because there are no garbage cans, everyone will throw in the little ditch.
My family, although our family does not eat snacks, do not throw garbage into the little water ditch, but cooking, laundry all have to discharge waste water, so, my family everyday to pour dirty water in the small water ditch.
Even worse, some families use the gutter as a garbage dump, and as long as the garbage can be thrown into the water ditch, even its ducks are defecating in the ditch.

They have withstood 1000 years/ of earthquakes and tourists./
The East pagoda is named Zhengguo, /which means "
"./ It was built of wood/ in 670 A.D. /and was later rebuilt/ as a 48.24m Stone pagoda./ The west pagoda /is called Renshou, /which means "merit and longevity". / It was built/ in 916/. From bottom to top，/the both pagodas/ are covered with/ lots of lifelike carvings./ The West Pagodas/ has two highly unusual carvings. /One is of the Monkey King, /and the other one /is of a goddess of Mercy./ Besides,/ visitors can climb up to /the top storey, /where they can enjoy/ a full view of the Quanzhon city./ This pair of towers/ are the highest stone towers /in China. Due to their uniqueness/, they are regarded as/ a special landmark /of Quanzhou City/. My Hometown
My hometown is beautiful place It stands near a wide river at the foot of low GREen hills. It has many tall buildings and wide streets. There are trees and flowers everywhere.
But it has not always been like that. In the old days, it was a sad dirty little town. Landlords and merchants lived in the few good houses. For the working people there were only dark, unhealthy rooms in old buildings and huts in narrow muddy streets. Nearly everyone was poor and many had no work.
Everything has changed since liberation. The people, led by the Party, have got rid of the mud and dirt. They have put up schools, theaters, shops and flats. They have an assembly hall and a hospital. Along the river they have built offices, hotels and parks. A lot of factories have sprung up. On the river, streamers and boats come and go busily, day and night. They carry the products of our industries to all parts of the country.
I love my hometown, and I love its people. They also have changed. Healthy and happy, they are going all out to build socialism.
