旅游英語(yǔ)作文 篇1
The Best Way of Traveling最好的旅游方式
People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. To me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.人們會(huì)乘坐飛機(jī)、火車(chē)、輪船、公交車(chē)去旅游。對(duì)于我來(lái)說(shuō),最好的旅游方式是暑假期間徒步旅游。
On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. And I can see things and people that I might miss if I travel on a train or on a bus.
When faster and more convenient ways for travel are becoming available, I still favor using my own feet. I get much pleasure from it. 當(dāng)更快、更方便的旅游方式變成通用的,我仍然支持用自己的雙腳(旅行),我從中得到了許多樂(lè)趣。
旅游英語(yǔ)作文 篇2
It was a simple choice: Mt. Emei and Leshan Grand Buddha: Route B, VIP ticket, a bus tour to two of China''s World Natural Heritage Sites, described in a few brief words in a brochure and often overlooked by vacationers on a rush through Chengdu to Tibet, Yunnan or the 3 Gorges. The tour is escorted by a well-informed Chinese speaking guide, who is like a wind-up doll: once started is guaranteed to talk non-stop for at least 30 minutes. Language could be a problem, but chances are someone on board is bilingual, so it''s possible to sneak away to take pictures and get a 30 seconds summary afterwards.
Early Saturday, the mini-bus rolls towards Leshan down the speedy expressway. The passing scenery is of miles of mus (an area measure of 1/6 acre) of rice paddies, sweet corn and lotus, dotted with the book-learned image of bent, barefoot peasants in straw hats at work with a water buffalo.
First visit to a Buddhist temple" It''s important to keep the red-shoed site-guide in sight. A leisurely climb up a broad, stone stairway leads to busy Lingyun Temple and Lingbao Pagoda. Unconditioned calves scream later, because the walk goes twice up and twice down at 35 degrees, Celsius and slope, over the same 75 metres of elevation. Of interest are the sequencing of buildings, the triad grouping of carved icons along with their distinguished arhat followers, (i.e. the amusing ear-picker) and collections of mini-statues. Devout adherents may be burning incense, kneeling on cushions and bowing. For them, the visit is spiritual. (It is permitted to participate as a one day Buddhist.)
Across the cliff top, Dafo, the tallest Buddha in the world, appears head first. The curly locks were reset in the last five years; the wrinkled face smoothed and redone with weatherproof make-up. If without a camera, a pose and a fee of 15 yuan will develop a Polaroid keepsake. The narrow, shaded Stairs of the Nine Turns descend past shapely biceps to fine hands and perfect fingernails, resting on dimpled knees, beside well-proportioned legs to well-spaced toes. Gender equality is not an issue as Dafo''s old body is neither robed nor nude. Looking up, Dafo is neither handsome nor pretty, but is, without a doubt, unforgettable. Carved out of the sandstone cliff in the 8th century, the mission was to offer safety over the currentsswhereswaters of three rivers swirled together and "swallowed boats" (It has been a long prayer.)
After a better life? This tour offers reassurance. For harmony, a female stands on the black part of the yinyang circle; if male, on the white. A quick rinse of hands and face and a push on the rotating yinyang stone at the water fountain add more balance. To gain merit and enhance karma, pay120 yuan for a sheaf of incense, set alight, bow three times and tosssintosthe flaming cauldron. A scheduled stop offers a Chinese lecture on Chinese herbal medicine. If purchasing, no-one says the same remedies will be one third the price the next day at booths on Mount Emei (Emeishan) from which they''re harvested.
An early, sunny morning start for Mount Emei promises a day to commune with nature. A European-made cable-car drops visitors and pink-jacketed guides 8 minutes later at the foot of 900 steps up to the beautiful, restful Wannian Temple, swheresincense is cheap and the strong scent and flower gardens are pleasant.
A soft rub on an orbed bridge pediment assures a longer life. Inside dimly-lit chambers shine gilded statues, larger than life, surrounded by thousands of miniatures. A smooth stroke to the back leg of a sculpted elephant carrying a smug Buddha on a gilded lotus, will relieve pain. A toad, alone in its pond, responds to clapping hands with a croak. From this serene monk''s complex, attributed to pilgrims from India in the eighth century, it''s all downhill through temperate, sweat-producing, rainforest.
En route, any aerie views are usually shrouded in mist. One hour of the twisty descent is over 3 kilometres of slippery steps. The intrepid or infirm can become easy riders in bamboo sling chairs, suspended between the shoulders of two skinny five-footers. The break at a waterfall and Qingyin pavilion is welcome and a place to decide whether to take the 90 minute round-trip detour to feed and fight off the hungry monkeys.
The hike is fine for the thousands of fit Chinese and few youthful backpackers, but for the rare ex-pat soft adventurers, a rest is preferred. It is another 3 kms further along a paved pathway under the eyes of curious stall vendors to the terminus, swheresa satisfying Sichuan luncheon is served before the fast return to Chengdu.
旅游英語(yǔ)作文 篇3
Travel-mate WantedI’m a 19-year-old female sophomore named Fu Ping. I hereby earnestly invite a foreign young lady—college student preferred—to make a three – week touring trip with me.My plan is to set off next weekend, when the summer vacation officially begins. The first stop is Kunming, the world-renowned city for its beauty and mild temperature. We’ll get there by train and stay there for 2 days, and then we’ll head for Jinggangshan, a former revolutionary base as well as a natural beauty spot. After a 3-day visit there , we will take a long-distance coach to a nearby port city by the Changjiang River and board a downstream ship to Shanghai, so that we can enjoy the great scenery alongside the third longest river in the world. As everybody knows, Shanghai is the busiest and fastest developing city in China. I’d like to have a look at its prosperity, so the stay there will be about half a week. And a famous Chinese saying goes, ”Just as there is Paradise in heaven, there are Suzhou and Hangzhou on Earth ”, so a 4-day visit to these two cities near Shanghai is must. All together, our trip will last about three weeks.I only expect that my travel-mate could split the expenses with me and talk with me in beautiful English, and I would be an excellent guide for her since I major in tourist guiding. Those interested please contact me either through email (fuping@126.com) or phone call (52222221) .

Dear Xiao Wang, I'm delighted to learn that you are going to visit me during the week-long vacation. My parents will also be happy to see you again. I'm sure you will enjoy every minute here. I know you are fond of swimming. A river lies not far away from my home. We can go swimming there. I think it would be very pleasant and refreshing to swim in such hot summer days. In every big room of my home there is an air-conditioner. We can watch TV, play CDs or read books very comfortably at home. A mountain about two miles away from here is beautiful and it is worth touring. We can go there on foot. When we climb to the top of the mountain, we can have a wonderful bird-eye view of the whole village. Just phone me before you set off. There is no need for you to take anything. I'll prepare everything for you. I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

旅游英語(yǔ)作文 篇5
Chinese often in a state of ceremonies itself, but some Chinese behavior, and draw further apart.
A high school student's "coming here Tour" sign at the time of Egyptian tourism has aroused people's consideration and Discussion on public space consciousness. In fact, in our side, there are many uncivilized behavior.
Many people study Sun Wukong, in the scenic spots and historical sites, "here a tour" or their own name, it seems very smart, but it is damage to cultural relics buildings, leaving them an ugly scar on them. In addition, many tourists often pick flowers and branches when they go to scenic spots for a moment of fun. Even if it's a big garden, everyone picks one. If everyone doesn't pay attention to his behavior, what other people can see later?
In addition, these uncivilized behavior will aggravate the burden on sanitation workers. Sanitation workers have to spend a lot of time and experience cleaning them for the sake of temporary convenience. Some of the rubbish that remains in the scenic spot will be left in the scenic area like a patch of paper and will destroy the interest of visitors.
As the saying goes, read 10000 books is that we should leave immediately, students will go sightseeing. When we enjoy the beautiful scenery, we must pay attention to protect the environment, and learn the new knowledge that nature has taught us, but also can not forget the old rules we should follow". As a young pioneer, we must always obey the public rules. First of all, we should set an example, queue up for tickets, take care of public property, protect cultural relics, do not litter, do not spit everywhere, and do not make loud noises in public places. Secondly, there must be a hero consciousness, see uncivilized behavior, to learn to dissuade. Only in this way, begin from me, and to influence the people around the country, we will be more worthy of the name of civilization, a state of ceremonies.

Today grandma accompanies me to study, grandma is reading the newspaper. Grandma said that the President of the United States came to China and spoke to the young people of Shanghai. I think China and America must be good friends. When I grow up, I will travel to America.
American travel composition English 4
We arrived in New York on a scorching afternoon. Fresh out of the airport, I felt a hot air coming, and we took off our coats and let sweat and freedom flow...
An hour later, we arrived at the hotel, lowered the luggage, and went to sleep.
As soon as I got to sleep, my parents called me up and got into the car and headed for the port. We went to the statue of liberty, about half an hour's boat, and heard someone Shouting excitedly: "see! I see it!" A solemn statue stood on a small island by the sea. The name of the island is liberty island.
The statue of liberty, which is about 93 meters high, has a statue of liberty in its head and a free torch about ten meters high. It was a gift from France to the United States for the centenary. It symbolizes the freedom of the American people. Her eyes looked straight ahead, solemn and kind.
The next day, we got up early and drove our rental car to the Wall Street copper bull. When I got to the copper cow, I waited and waited, so it was not easy for me to have time. I rushed in, and dad took the camera and snapped a lot of photos. After watching the Wall Street bull, we went straight to Wall Street. I look forward to going to Wall Street, because my dream is to be the richest person in the world. On the way to Wall Street, my heart would jump out excitedly, my father pretended to shake his head, and then said sadly, "it's very kind of money worship!"
Wall Street is a street with some very old buildings. Go straight and you'll see a stock exchange. It had an American flag on it. It was beautiful.
Back at the hotel, we brushed our teeth and climbed into bed, and we fell asleep. My mother called me up in the morning and went to the metropolitan museum without a good brush.
The metropolitan museum doesn't seem like a building. It's like a sculptor. The carved objects are magnified. The first floor is the Egyptian pavilion, where many of the stones are kept well, and some are covered with earth, which is thought to have been dug out. It's not easy to see the Egyptian pavilion. We can't wait to get up to the second floor. Do you know why? Because it's a Chinese pavilion! On the last step, we are too tired to asthma hush, I turned around, we will shine at the moment immediately strength increase ran past, that is a plate, embroidered full of beautiful decorative pattern, look closely, is a dragon and a phoenix coiled on a plate. Everyone stared at it, looking forward, looking down. After about an hour, we finished the Chinese pavilion, not without admiration. Among them, one of my favorite items is a piece of square, carved with a giant Buddha inside and outside are all small Buddha, surprised to see that item, thought, thought how good his own age, ancient also as good as yourself!
The time passed quickly, and suddenly it was dark, and everyone was reluctant to leave the met. It seemed like a long time ago, I woke up, looked at my watch, did not know, a look of surprise! It's nine o 'clock! I quickly woke my father and mother, and my father and mother laughed and told me, "we can get up late today, so don't worry." After half an hour, everyone had a leisurely breakfast and embarked on a trip to Boston.
