簡歷是求職時所用的第一塊敲門磚，又像是一張拜會的帖子，能不能得到面試的機會全靠它。正因為這樣，找工作的人總是要先在簡歷上下一番功夫，費心思琢磨。初出校門的畢業(yè)生由于缺乏別的推薦自己的途徑，更是將制作簡歷當作求職的第一出重頭戲來準備。
于是，人們在招聘會上看到的學生簡歷是五花八門，各具特色。為了在眾多競爭對手中脫穎而出，莘莘學子充分發(fā)揮他們的聰明才智，力爭使自己的簡歷別出心裁。在包裝上，個人寫真、彩色打印、彩色封面早已不算新鮮。而據(jù)報道，一名非重點大學的女生因擔心自己的競爭力不突出，竟花三千多元做了20份“精品簡歷”，這些簡歷的內(nèi)容是請專人進行策劃的，每一頁都用極好的銅版紙，乍一看，不像簡歷，倒像本精致的雜志。
在包裝上做文章還只是其一，拿什么樣的內(nèi)容去填充簡歷更是叫人挖空心思。推敲主次，遣詞用句，有的畢業(yè)生嫌自己的資質(zhì)閱歷不夠，就想出了往簡歷里面“注水”，甚至作假的招兒。要么夸大其詞憑空杜撰一些經(jīng)歷業(yè)績，要么偷梁換柱收集別人的獎狀、證書改成自己的。
在此，我們無意討論做簡歷需要遵守什么樣的道德原則，只是想回到最根本的問題：簡歷到底做什么用?簡歷只是一封介紹信，把你自己介紹到工作的面前。你是否適合這個工作以及能否得到它由你本身的條件所決定，而不是你的簡歷所能左右的。一份好的簡歷可以為你帶來面試的機會，而你是否為人所接受，取決于你與用人單位接觸過程中的表現(xiàn)，你的經(jīng)驗、素質(zhì)、能力是否真的適合這份工作。
